There are still a few of those old timey Michigan motels out there. The kind of place we used to stay when I was a kid. The kind of place where you would be remembered the next time you arrive. The kind of place where, in the evening, you sit outside on the porch and share stories with the folks in the next room.
On the edge of town there is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle. A big beautiful park accessible by car from a main road or on foot using this bridge. The bridge is part of local path system.
The park has restroom facilities, picnic tables and a boat launch. There is a small brick building on the edge of a pond. That building houses an artesian well that still produces water. At one time, it provided the water for all of Caro, Michigan.
